Looking for details of number of women taking engineering degrees.

I can find HE qualifications by gender or subject, but not by both.

Any help greatly appreciated.

You can get qualifications obtained by gender and (broad) subject (and level) from http://www.hesa.ac.uk/dox/pressOffice/sfr153/SFR153_All_tables.xls table 7.

I don't know of a way of getting more detail except to pay HESA money.

I'm not sure that it's not the same data as HESA but there's data at http://unistats.direct.gov.uk/downloadSpreadsheet.do;jsessionid=29896B6A318DB76A285F2E9E53D8DC53.worker4
