I am trying to build a semantic/linked data service that will provide a way of navigating BBC In Business and The Bottom Line radio programmes by company name/sector.

What services are there that can take free text descriptions of the programmes and extract company names and sectors mentioned in the description?

It would also be useful to find industry sector tags associated with each company that is mentioned, whether or not that sector tag is mentioned in the description.

At the moment, I am using Reuters OpenCalais service.
